We have booked a few rooms in Robert Black College and more rooms Hotel JEN at special room rates for the participants joining our Forum. If you would like to enjoy the special room rates, please let us know by completing the hotel reservation registration session in the registration or Email us on or before 11 NOV 2008.

VISA Application

The current immigration authority suggests that the situation in 2008 would not be much different from that before the "Hand Over". That means,

  1. you may not need a visa for the conference visit if you are from North America, Western Europe, or Japan;

  2. if you normally need a visa to enter Hong Kong, you should go through the Hong Kong section of the China Embassy/Consulate.

Transportation

(A) From Airport to  Hotel JEN/ Robert Black College (RBC)

Take the Airport Express to the Hong Kong Station. It takes about 23 minutes and it costs HK$100 (about US$13).
Take a taxi to the hotel JEN / RBC. It takes about 6 minutes and it costs about HK$30 (US$4).

(B) From Train Station to Hotel JEN/ Robert Black College (RBC)

If you get off at the East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, you may take the MTR to the Central Station and change a taxi. Remember to specify to the driver that the hotel is in the Western District. It takes about 10 minutes and costs about HK$30.

If you get off at the Hung Hom Station, you are already at one end of the Cross Harbour Tunnel. EITHER

  1. Take the bus No. 101 or 104 to cross the tunnel to the Hong Kong Island. Get off at the Yat Fu Lane Station and walk backward; OR

  2. Take a taxi and specify to the driver that the hotel is in the Western District. It takes about 30 minutes and costs about HK$100 including tunnel fees.

(C) Travelling to the University
