Abstract

The presence of a cavity in protoplanetary disks revealed by dust continuum emissions is sometimes postulated as a signpost of an embedded gas giant planet. The question is how the claim can be better justified.

In this talk, I shall intrigue you with an eccentric protoplanetary disk excited by a massive planet and describe its possible observational implications. Other potential signposts as a result of planet-disk interactions will be also mentioned.

Coffee and tea will be served 20 minutes prior to the seminar.
