Abstract

Transport property of strongly interacting fermion system is one of the most important problems in modern condensed matter physics. As an example, understanding the transport of spin can be very useful in our design of spin-based devices. Unlike the transport of charge, spin transport occurs in two modalities, longitudinal and transverse, and experimental studies has shown that both show quantum limited transport at the unitary regime of strongly interacting Fermi gases.

In the present work, we aim to develop a microscopic theory of spin transport in the limit of strong polarization, for which a phenomenological theory of polaron Fermi liquid is available. We will setup the general equations of spin transport and discuss a few of its generic features.
