Abstract
This work presents the development of an SHG-FROG system to characterize femtosecond pulses. The setup consists of an 800 nm pulsed laser, a PRECIBEO GO piezo-driven translation stage, and a Qmini spectrometer, which enables precise delay scanning and spectral measurement. The experimental FROG traces show the second-harmonic signal concentrated near 400 nm. A LabVIEW program was created to automate the synchronization between the stage and the spectrometer. The next step involves using Generalized Projections Algorithm for pulse reconstruction. Currently, there are convergence challenges with the MATLAB implementation, which are being addressed. Once resolved, the system will provide full temporal and spectral characterization of the pulses, validating the SHG-FROG setup and supporting future research in ultrafast pulse manipulation and dispersion management.
