Abstract
Moire superlattices of rhombohedral graphene aligned with hBN (RnG/hBN) have been experimentally demonstrated to exhibit a panoply of strongly correlated phenomena, including the fractional quantum anomalous Hall effect, charge ordering, and superconductivity. From a theoretical standpoint, several key issues remain under active debate. In particular, what is the nature of the moire effect in this platform? How can we theoretically understand the fractional Chern insulators in this system? I will review our previous investigations along these directions, and highlight recent progress in resolving these questions.
